The Reverend Dr. Geoffrey Hahneman is the Rector of St. John's, Bridgeport and holds a doctorate from Oxford University in the formation of the Christian Bible. He will walk through an Introduction to the Gospels and the Christian Tradition, with an emphasis on the difficulties of taking a literal acceptance of either.

Chris Pearson: Camp Director. Chris is from Brookfield, CT and teaches math at Newtown High School. He enjoys playing guitar, volleyball, and climbing trees at random. His favorite thing about Camp Washington is the sound of the cabins when they are full on the first day of camp. “Talking about music is like dancing about architecture.” –Steve Martin

Taylor Marchand: Cabin Counselor: I am beyond excited to give campers an awesome summer they won't forget! I was a camper for 3 years- camp was my happy place. Some of my favorite camp activities include swimming, playing nuke-em, making bracelets, & sitting around the camp fire. I love animals (especially cats) and start college in the fall at Tufts University to major in pre-vet science. If you ever want to strike up a conversation about animals or any other topic- I'm your girl!

Cam Folts: Cabin Counselor. I am so excited to be coming back to Camp as a counselor! I’m studying at the University of New Hampshire, majoring in Musical Theatre and Secondary Theatre education- I’m honored to be returning to my home state to work at my absolute favorite summer camp. I’m looking forward to everything, though especially helping out with all the Performing Arts activities, and helping out with day to day things! Can’t wait to see you all in the Summer!

Emily Laliberté: Camp Counselor I am so excited to join the Camp Washington staff this summer. I've never been a camp counselor, but I think the experience will be so fun! I enjoy listening to music, making crafts, and reading in my spare time, but at school I'm focusing on becoming a teacher someday. My favorite camp snack has to be popcorn over the fire, and I love all campfire songs, and would love to learn more. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Tom Kendell: Cabin Counselor. I am overly excited to be apart of the CW team- it will be an amazing opportunity and something completely different. The people I will get to meet, the journeys I will get to take and just generally being free in a different environment than what I'm used to. I take part heavily in sport, ranging from soccer to rugby and even swimming. I enjoy music as well because it helps bring out your inner personality and really gives you a you a feel for who the artist is.

Mandy Pelletier: Cabin Counselor. I'M SUPER STOKED TO BE WORKING AT CAMP FOR MY THIRD SUMMER!! Returning to camp each year is exciting because it is a place where everyone can get off the grid, away from the busyness of life and experience a place that builds incredible relationships. I salivate at the thought of Taco Day each week for the entire summer because it truly never gets old. When I'm not at Camp, you can find me in Nashville, TN where I attend Lipscomb University.

Sara van der Horst: Performing Arts Coordinator Sara is originally from Old Saybrook, CT. She spent three years teaching middle school music/band in DC and is currently teaching English in Rouen, France. Sara loves to travel, hike, run, and generally explore the world. She also loves making delicious food for her family and friends. This will be Sara’s 13th summer at camp, 3rd on staff, and she can’t wait to be back and meet this summer’s amazing group of campers and staff!

Becca Gausepohl: Waterfront Director. Becca is excited to be returning to camp for her 6th summer on staff! While not at camp she spends her time as a student at Boston University, teaching swim lessons & anxiously awaiting the release of Wonder Woman 2. Becca also enjoys reading, hiking, playing board games & binge listening to podcasts. She's counting the days until she can sing arostasha at the top of her lungs, build big fires, and see the most beautiful waterfront in the world!

April Regan: Head Counselor. I am a newly graduated Special Education teacher, and so excited to return for my 8th year on CW staff. I love to hike, spend time in nature, and read. I have a wonderful turtle named Squirt, who also loves camp. I am looking forward to a summer full of singing Little Red Wagon, building fires, and meeting new campers and staff!

Liz Sagers: Cabin Counselor Liz Sagers is from West Hartford and is excited to be back for her 11th summer at camp and 3rd summer on staff! She is a rising sophomore at UConn, studying chemical engineering and Spanish. She loves to play clarinet, hike, travel, and have fun at camp. Her favorite things at camp are the waterfront, cabin night, Ben's food, and the wonderful campers and staff!!

Aidan Leonard-Pasley, Sports Coordinator: This will be Aidan’s fourth summer at Camp Washington, but his first year on program staff. Aidan is very excited to be returning to his favorite place this summer. He looks forward to spending time at the waterfront and eating Ben’s food. Aidan is a student at Western Connecticut State University where he studies Biology and Chemistry, with hopes of one day becoming a Physicians Assistant.

Nick Paul: Cabin Counselor. Nick is super excited to be back at Camp Washington this summer! This is his 4th. summer at camp, and when he's not there, he is a student at the University of New Hampshire. Both at camp and outside of it, he is enthusiastic about all things outdoors, as well as music and martial arts. Nick can't wait to make new friends and catch up with old ones this summer, in addition to all the campfires and s'mores!

Caitlin Filiato: Cabin Counselor. Hi! I'm from Newtown, CT & I attended Camp Washington throughout my childhood. I’m so excited to be returning as a counselor! Camp has been a big part of my family, both my siblings have attended and have been on the Youth Advisory Council. I am a junior at Dickinson College studying International Business & Management and Spanish. I am currently studying abroad in Malaga, Spain and have loved the opportunity to be able travel all over Europe!

Janette Birtha: Cabin Counselor. Janette is very excited to be welcomed back for her 4th summer. Her favorite camp activities are anything having to do with performing arts or wilderness. She attends Emmanuel College in Boston Mass. Janette is majoring in Elementary education and minoring in Theatre Arts. Janette is most excited to reconnect with returning staff, get to know new staff, and give the campers the campers the best camp experience possible!

EmmaLee Mischlich, Christian Formation Coordinator & Cabin Counselor: I’m so excited to be spending this upcoming summer at Camp Washington. This will be my first year at CW but definitely not my first at camp overall! My favorite thing about camp is all of the games and good times! In the off-season, I’m at a student at Messiah College in South Central PA where I am studying Youth Ministry. I enjoy outdoor activities all year round & work with a vibrant youth group at my church.

Katie Earley: Arts & Crafts Coordinator Katie is from Wallingford, CT and is returning for her fifth summer on staff. She is currently studying illustration and animation in Cambridge, Massachusetts at Lesley University College of Art and Design. Her hobbies include anything art related, singing Disney songs, and spending time outdoors (preferably at the beach). She is looking forward to another fun filled summer at Camp Washington and can’t wait for some delicious camp food!

Kara Bowen: Cabin Counselor. This will be my third year on staff and my seventh year in total at CW! I love performing arts and wilderness activities, and look forward to tasting the brand-new recipes for bug juice that campers create. I can't wait to dance around to "Rattlin' Bog" at our opening campfire! When not at camp, I study Integrated Marketing Communications at Ithaca College and spend most of my time writing stories and drinking tea.

Sophie Swinburn: Cabin Counselor This will be my 1st year at camp- I cannot wait to meet you all and make lots of memories at Camp Washington. I'm super excited for all camp goers, old and new, to teach me everything camp; including camp songs, games and traditions! My interests include keeping active, delicious food, good music and to accompany that my not so good dancing! I am a very happy and energetic person and I hope to bring smiles and fun to camp this summer!

Alison Swayne: Assitant Director Hi everyone! I'm excited to return to CW for my 9th summer on staff after taking a few summers away to work up in Maine and New Hampshire. In the non-summer season I am a student hoping to pursue occupational therapy in the future. I love reading, being outside in the beautiful weather, knitting, campfires, and pottery. My favorite campfire song is a toss up between The Moose Song or Little Red Wagon Remix. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Elizabeth Rousseau: Cabin Counselor. Elizabeth is a graduating senior from Hall High School in West Hartford. She started as a camper at 7, and this will be her 12th summer at camp (It’s her happy place). This is her second year on staff. She plays softball, and loves to read and travel. At camp, she loves the woods, compline, and well written graces. Her favorite campfire skit is the classic “chocolate pudding.” She loves Ben’s cooking, and always looks forward to Thanksgiving dinner.

Zoe Lloyd: Cabin Counselor. I am a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington currently studying music education with a minor in Spanish. This year will be my first summer at Camp Washington, and I am beyond thrilled to become a part of the camp family! In my free time, I like to run, make music, and compete on my schools cheerleading team. This summer, I am most excited to make tons of friendship bracelets and get to know the awesome campers and staff at Camp Washington!

Bishop Laura Ahrens: Chaplain, Children's Camp I & Bishop Suffragan in ECCT. Bishop Laura's hobbies include running, reading, cooking and spending time with friends! When she was a camper years ago, she loved archery, canoeing and swimming. She also attended a horse back riding camp for two summers when she was a teenager. Her favorite horse was a horse named "Ralph." She loves Camp Washington and is really excited about being one of the Chaplains this summer! Thank you all!

Rev. Heidi Truax: Chaplain for Wilderness Adventure. Heidi has always enjoyed camping, and the Wilderness Adventure fits perfectly with her love of being out of doors as much as possible. She's a skier, tennis & golf enthusiast. She and her dog Keen, love to do short hikes on the Appalachian Trail. She has four sons, 6 grandsons, and a granddaughter too. As Rector of Trinity Church in Lime Rock, CT she doesn't get to spend enough time around young people. She Can't wait to be a part of WA!
