About the Event
Join us October 16-18 (Friday 4 p.m.-Sunday 1 p.m.) at Camp Washington, a natural and restorative setting, which will give writers both solace and inspiration.
This workshop, led by Davyne Verstandig, a lecturer in English and Creative Writing at the University of Connecticut, will be an exploration of the significant presence of writing in our lives; prose, poetry, playwriting, memoir or unlabeled or experimental writing. In the ink we discover our minds. We will, in the words of the great writer Frank McCourt, “scribble” together, investigate degrees of sadness and joy as vehicles of transformation in our writing.
Whether you are revising work, beginning something new or simply want to be in a beautiful setting in Nature with people who also revere the practice of writing you will be inspired. You will be learning to access Memory as well as Reflection through deep writing.
