I am so excited to join the Camp Washington staff this summer. I've never been a camp counselor, but I think the experience will be so fun! I enjoy listening to music, making crafts, and reading in my spare time, but at school I'm focusing on becoming a teacher someday. My favorite camp snack has to be popcorn over the fire, and I love all campfire songs, and would love to learn more. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Performing Arts Coordinator
Sara is originally from Old Saybrook, CT. She spent three years teaching middle school music/band in DC and is currently teaching English in Rouen, France. Sara loves to travel, hike, run, and generally explore the world. She also loves making delicious food for her family and friends. This will be Sara’s 13th summer at camp, 3rd on staff, and she can’t wait to be back and meet this summer’s amazing group of campers and staff!
Liz Sagers is from West Hartford and is excited to be back for her 11th summer at camp and 3rd summer on staff! She is a rising sophomore at UConn, studying chemical engineering and Spanish. She loves to play clarinet, hike, travel, and have fun at camp. Her favorite things at camp are the waterfront, cabin night, Ben's food, and the wonderful campers and staff!!
This will be Aidan’s fourth summer at Camp Washington, but his first year on program staff. Aidan is very excited to be returning to his favorite place this summer. He looks forward to spending time at the waterfront and eating Ben’s food. Aidan is a student at Western Connecticut State University where he studies Biology and Chemistry, with hopes of one day becoming a Physicians Assistant.
Christian Formation Coordinator & Cabin Counselor:
I’m so excited to be spending this upcoming summer at Camp Washington. This will be my first year at CW but definitely not my first at camp overall! My favorite thing about camp is all of the games and good times! In the off-season, I’m at a student at Messiah College in South Central PA where I am studying Youth Ministry. I enjoy outdoor activities all year round & work with a vibrant youth group at my church.
Katie is from Wallingford, CT and is returning for her fifth summer on staff. She is currently studying illustration and animation in Cambridge, Massachusetts at Lesley University College of Art and Design. Her hobbies include anything art related, singing Disney songs, and spending time outdoors (preferably at the beach). She is looking forward to another fun filled summer at Camp Washington and can’t wait for some delicious camp food!
This will be my 1st year at camp- I cannot wait to meet you all and make lots of memories at Camp Washington. I'm super excited for all camp goers, old and new, to teach me everything camp; including camp songs, games and traditions! My interests include keeping active, delicious food, good music and to accompany that my not so good dancing! I am a very happy and energetic person and I hope to bring smiles and fun to camp this summer!
Hi everyone! I'm excited to return to CW for my 9th summer on staff after taking a few summers away to work up in Maine and New Hampshire. In the non-summer season I am a student hoping to pursue occupational therapy in the future. I love reading, being outside in the beautiful weather, knitting, campfires, and pottery. My favorite campfire song is a toss up between The Moose Song or Little Red Wagon Remix. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
