At Camp Washington you will find:• A caring community centered on Christian |
|
| The Purpose of the summer camp program at Camp Washington is to provide a place where children of all ages can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially and physically. We strive to help campers come to know God's love through their experiences in this outdoor environment, the friendships they make here, and the teachings of Jesus Christ. Camp Washington is open to all people regardless of age, gender, lifestyle, national origin, physical abilities, race or religious creed. | |
| The Worship life of Camp Washington is a very important element of our community. Based in the Episcopal tradition, campers explore their faith in an open and caring environment through morning worship, evening devotions, theme based activities and closing day Eucharist. We encourage children and staff to participate fully in worship and we structure our worship in such a way as to respect the various traditions from which our campers come. All campers are expected to join the community at worship. |

| American Camp Association We take great pride in the fact that Camp Washington is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). The ACA is the governing body of summer camps in America and has set forth the industry standards by which all accredited camps are critiqued. The ACA standards go above and beyond what the State of Connecticut requires of a licensed summer camp. |
